Self-Exclusion & Taking a Break
If gambling is no longer fun, or you need time away, you can pause or stop using your account. These tools are free and we make it easy — there is no penalty for taking a break.
Take a short break
Suspend your account for a set period (for example, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days). During a break you cannot place bets or deposit. Your account reopens automatically when the break ends.
Self-exclude
Operator-level self-exclusion is activated from inside your account, under ‘Account features’. Choose a period from 3 days / 7 days / 1 month / 3 months / 6 months / 1 year / 5 years. Self-exclusion takes effect immediately upon confirmation.
How it works once you confirm:
- You have a 24-hour window to cancel after confirming. After that, the self-exclusion is irreversible for the period you chose.
- Your account balance is returned to your original payment source.
- Pending bets are settled if the event has already taken place, or voided — with stakes returned — if it has not.
- Marketing stops automatically and we take reasonable steps to prevent you opening a new account with us.
- At the end of the period, reactivation is never automatic — it requires an active opt-in and identity re-verification.
BetStop — the National Self-Exclusion Register
For a single exclusion that covers all licensed Australian online and phone wagering operators, register with BetStop. It is free, you choose the length (from 3 months to lifetime), and operators are legally required to honour it.
How to start
Go to My Account → Stay in control and open ‘Account features’ to choose your self-exclusion period. It applies immediately once you confirm — no need to contact support.
